Summit's Class of 2012 raised their PSAT scores by an average of 10-12% in each category (Critical Reading, Math, and Writing). Two students raised their score by over 20% in two categories, and another earned a National Merit Scholars Commendation. Summit congratulates the Juniors' academic success!

Michaela Seaton won a trip to the Cayman Islands as part of the National Geographic Hands-On Explorer Challenge. The contest is run by the magazine National Geographic Kids and Michaela was one of 15 selected in the national essay and photo competition. The exploratory field trip includes trekking, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and tips from a National Geographic photographer.

Each year, the 3rd grade class holds a reading contest called Marathon to the Parthenon.  Students have eight weeks to read as much as they can.  This year, a total of 445 books were read totaling 53,264 pages.  Way to go, 3rd graders!
