Student wins National Geographic Contest

Michaela Seaton won a trip to the Cayman Islands as part of the National Geographic Hands-On Explorer Challenge. The contest is run by the magazine National Geographic Kids and Michaela was one of 15 selected in the national essay and photo competition. Her submission to the contest, which included an essay and photo of a spider web with dew drops (see it here), stood out among the 12,000 entries.
The exploratory field trip includes trekking, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and tips from a National Geographic photographer. Read more about Michaela's adventure at wydaily.com and the National Geographic’s Explorer blog.
