Spread the Good News -- NEW Open House Dates!!SCA is hosting two Open House events for prospective students and their families. On Monday, February 8th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at their upper school campus. On Tuesday, February 23rd from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the grammar school. Tour the school and meet the principal, teachers, staff and families. Light refreshments will also be served.
Interested families are invited to come and explore the distinctiveness of a Classical Christian Education. Equipping young men and women academically, socially, and emotionally to discern truth, to articulate their faith, and to become servants and leaders in their chosen fields, impacting the world for Christ.
Registrations for 2010/2011 will be accepted at the Open House. They will be date and time stamped and considered in the order of receipt.

Summit Wins 2nd Place in Regional Debate TournamentTidewater Debate Tournament
Summit students competed in a Tidewater Debate League tournament on Saturday January 16th. They competed with ten public schools from the Peninsula, Smithfield, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach.
The Policy Teams consisted of Tommy/Tanner, Erik/Todd, Jared/Joe, and Kate/Sara Joy. Tommy/Tanner took third and Tommy was 5th place for best speaker.
In Lincoln Douglas, Rebekah Davis won 2 of 4 rounds in her first Varsity competition; Nikki Moore placed 3rd in Novice at her first Lincoln-Douglas tournament.
The combined point total allowed Summit to win 2nd place for the sweepstakes, a school first! Congratulations to our debaters.
Upcoming Tournaments
Summit will compete in three tournaments this month and next.
1. Eleven 9th grade students and one Varsity student will compete in the Peninsula Debate Tournament on January 22nd (Lincoln-Douglas).
2. Three teams from the 9th and 10th grades will go to Rockbridge, MD on January 23rd to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Christian Debate League 2nd tournament.
3. Eight 9th graders and the Debate Club policy teams will compete in the Tidewater Debate League on February 20.
